At Haven Reno KC, we curated our favorite green paint colors of 2025. These are the shades we’re actually using and seeing in kitchens, bathrooms, and basements across Lee’s Summit and Kansas City. Each one pairs beautifully with natural wood, warm metals and cozy neutrals.

Behr Hidden Gem - N430-6A

As Behr’s 2026 Color of the Year - Hidden Gem is the historic looking blue green we’ve been looking for. This jade green paint color is both gentle and captivating and we love the depth it adds to a space. It’s a great choice for cabinets, along with bedrooms, offices or even moody living rooms. Try it with warm brass or rattan accents for a natural, elevated look.

SW 6186 - Dried Thyme

Dried Thyme has become a classic green paint color. A mid-tone sage green that reads soft and organic. Designers love it for kitchen cabinets, laundry rooms and pantries. It pairs beautifully with creamy whites and a variety of wood finishes. Our own co-owner Faye has this color in her own home.

Vintage Vogue - Benjamin Moore 462

Vintage Vogue is a beautiful smokey green by Benjamin Moore that pairs beautifully with black, wood and gold accents. Also pairs well with white Chantilly Lace paint. Deep and dramatic, this smoky green makes a statement on accent walls or built-ins. It’s bold but timeless - perfect for libraries, dens, or speakeasy-style spaces. Look at this incredible paring with gold hardware by @courtneyparkinteriors.

Green Smoke - Farrow & Ball No 47

Farrow and Ball offers the stunning Green Smoke paint color as a calm smokey green blue. A cult-favorite shade that shifts with the light. This heritage-inspired tone feels equally at home in modern and traditional spaces. Use it for cabinetry, wainscoting, or interior doors for instant depth. This color is stunning both outside and inside, but we love it inside paired with darker moody accents.

SW 7750 - Olympic Range

When you need a dark, moody speakeasy paint color, look no further than Sherwin William’s Olympic Range. Highly recommend using this color with a matte paint finish, especially if you have textured walls. Our co-owner Mel has used this in her own home and it’s still hands-down one of our favorites. Dark and moody with a touch of blue undertone, this color channels classic speakeasy style. It’s striking in bars, basements, and powder rooms - anywhere you want a little drama.

Honorable Mention Goes To…

Drumroll please… we have three extra green paint colors we couldn’t leave out of this post. Here are some alternatives that we also love and don’t want to leave without mentioning.

SW 0060 - Alexandrite

This green Alexandrite paint color is a fun punchy blue green. It’s part of Sherwin Williams Historic Color collection and it is extremely saturated. We do not recommend using this on a well lit wall unless you’re going for bright and LOUD. But… it’s literally the perfect pop of color inside any kind of “nook” that has low lighting. Check it out in this little closet office nook for a splash of happy.

BM 469 Backwoods

Benjamin Moore’s Backwoods green paint is a beautiful shade dark green that gives “hunting lodge.” It definitely feels like the perfect green for your cabin in the woods. This would also make an excellent green paint color for the exterior of your home.

SW 6187 Rosemary

And last but certainly not least, one of our tried and true favorites… SW Rosemary. We’ve used this one one of our recent projects in a matte finish and it was captivating. It is a bit of a chameleon and can have both an organic feeling or can hit cheerful and happy depending on your lighting. Either way, it will have you coming home feeling relaxed and happy.

How to Choose the Right Green for Your Home

When choosing green paint, look at your lighting and undertones:

  • North-facing rooms love warmer greens (Dried Thyme, Vintage Vogue).

  • South-facing rooms shine with cooler greens (Green Smoke, Hidden Gem).

  • Mix matte, satin, or eggshell finishes to control how reflective or rich the color feels.
