For this homeowner in Olathe, Kansas, remodeling her bathrooms had been on the wish list since 2020. After the pandemic put those plans on hold, she was finally ready to create spaces she'd been dreaming about for years.
Our team at Haven Reno KC had the opportunity to help bring those plans to life with a bathroom remodeling project focused on beautiful finishes, thoughtful design, and making everyday routines a little more enjoyable.
Before
Primary Bathroom Remodel
One of the first things our homeowner wanted to address was her existing vanity. It was extremely low, making it less comfortable for everyday use. She knew she wanted to raise the countertop to a more comfortable height while also bringing some natural warmth into the room.
After
We designed a beautiful custom ash wood vanity with a clean stain finish that adds character without overwhelming the space. The vanity is finished off with stunning Bellezza Stratus quartz countertops, rectangular undermount sinks, and champagne-gold faucets from the Delta Lorna Collection.
The result is a bathroom vanity that feels warm, timeless, and much more functional.
Before
Wet Room Woes
The biggest change in this primary bathroom was transforming the oversized shower into a wet room with a freestanding bathtub. Although the existing shower was spacious, the homeowner really missed having a bathtub in her primary bathroom. She wanted a place to soak and unwind without having to head to the hall bathroom.
After
Functional & Beautiful Wet Room
Rather than choosing between a large shower and a bathtub, we worked with the existing space to give her both.
The new wet room features a beautiful freestanding soaking tub, a coordinating tub filler, updated shower fixtures, and light marble-look tile that extends across the shower walls.
The lighter finishes completely changed how the bathroom feels, making the space brighter, cleaner, and more open.
Before
Heavy Glass Framing
The width of this room requires a glass header for the shower door for safety. We’re not one to argue with safety, but the height of the header was low and visually divided the space. It also had a lot of extra framing that felt bulky.
After
Shower Glass That Sings
One detail that made a big difference was the custom glass enclosure from Hutton Glass in Lee's Summit. We worked to position that header higher, helping maintain a more open, unobstructed view into the wet room.
It's one of those details that might not immediately stand out, but it makes a noticeable difference in the finished design. Same thing with the shower glass framing. We went with “as frameless as possible” and boy did it pay off. Now this glass door sings.

The Finishing Touches That Brought It All Together
The Finishing Touches That Brought It All Together
A successful bathroom remodel is about more than choosing beautiful tile or fixtures. It's about making sure all the details work together.
For this Olathe primary bathroom, we combined soft, neutral finishes with natural wood and warm gold accents to create a space that feels bright but never cold.
The new flooring, shower tile, custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, lighting, and paint each play a part in the transformation.
And while the finished bathroom looks dramatically different, our favorite part is knowing that it now has the features our homeowner had been waiting so long to enjoy.

Guest Bath Before
This space had a few issues for the homeowner, the main one being she just felt like it needed a refresh for her guests. The vanity cabinet was quite low, the toilet felt like it didn’t have enough space, the old glass block window was dated and the space generally needed a little update.
After
Guest Bath After
This bathroom feels so much more cheery & elegant for guests when they visit. The mosaic tile floor steals the show - with white and green marble in a classic octagon design. The homeowner’s wall color, Sherwin Williams Sea Salt got a fresh coat. Plus the new wood tone vanity with custom floating shelves. The brushed nickel hardware matches the rest of the house, and the homeowner kept her previous light. We love how this space turned out!
Before
Guest Shower
One issue in this space was also the shower. The old fiberglass tub wasn’t cutting it.
After
Guest Shower After
Love how this turned out! It’s simple, it’s clean, and it’s overall a nicer space for guests.
